MOVING IN SMALL SPACES
Born in Melbourne, Australia, but currently working and teaching in Europe, Kate is a contemporary dancer, teacher, choreographer and certified pilates instructor. Throughout her career, she has worked and performed with dance companies in Australia, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and Germany. She received her training from Dance World 301 and the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne.
It was ultimately her love of dancing and her adoration of movement that led Kate into developing a deeper understanding of the physical body and its anatomy and physiology. She gained her Pilates training through the Australian Pilates Method Association (APMA) in 2011 and recently re trained with Stott. In 2020, she launched Moving in Small Spaces and started teaching Pilates and barre courses online and in studio Reformer classes.
Classes
Reformer Pilates online/studio
Each reformer class starts with a postural analysis to identify muscular imbalances and movement patterns. I then design a program tailored to your needs, targeting your problem areas while providing a full-body workout.
The Reformer’s adjustable resistance allows for safe, effective strengthening, improved posture, and enhanced mobility. Online classes are available.

Contemporary Dance (in studio)
Channel your creative expression with my contemporary dance classes. Blending classical dance and improvisation with Pilates, explore your own rhythm and fluidity while honouring the connection between your mind, body and the surrounding space.
Integrating natural alignment, balance, spatial awareness, motor control, coordination, strength and flexibility, you will walk away from class feeling challenged, revitalised and progressed.
Even in moments of doubt or puzzlement, as a teacher I will calmly guide you every step of the way – even breaking teacher-student boundaries to dance among you.
From beginners to advanced, be inspired to explore your own way of moving.
